2024 Tournaments

Please find the list of tournament events and descriptions below for the 2024 season. Please contact the Bowes Creek Country Club Golf Proshop to register for these tournaments or click on each tournament button to sign up online.

Entry fee is $60 per player for open events plus greens fee unless noted*.  Reservations can be made through the APP or via the website link.

NOTE: Seniors over 70 with more than 8 index can play from White Tees – Only Bowes Creek Monthly Events (Couples Events excluded)

Saturday, April 20th - Two Person Scramble - OPEN TO THE PUBLIC

Men play from Blue, Seniors 62 and over with handicap over 8.0 can play from Baby Blue, Ladies from Pink tees.
Tee Times Begin at 8am

Friday, May 17th - Couples Date Night #1 - OPEN TO THE PUBLIC*

9 Hole Green Fee with Cart for NON-Member is $38.00 per person.
Entry Fee covers dinner and small winners’ pool!  Tipping food and beverage staff is additional.
Shot gun starts at 5:30pm.  Dinner following at Johnny’s Supper Club.
Format is 2 Person scramble – Men from Whites, Ladies from Yellow.

Saturday, July 13th - 2 Player Best Ball with Stableford Scoring - Open to the Public*

An Individual Stableford with 80% handicap.  The shots will fall on the holes they are given by the course hole handicap.  Stableford Scoring will be -3 for double bogie plus, 0-bogie,  1-par, 3 -birdie, 5-eagle, 6-double eagle. 

Saturday and Sunday, July 27 & 28th - 108th Annual Elgin Open - Open to the Public*

Individual Stroke
Tee Times begin at 11am
Saturday play at Bowes Creek Country Club / Sunday play at Highlands of Elgin

Friday, August 2nd - Couples Date Night #4 - OPEN TO THE PUBLIC*

Saturday and Sunday, August 17th & 18th - Member Club Championship - MEMBERS ONLY

Champion Flight plays from Gray tees and the gross winner is the Club Champion ( Low Net will also be awarded); Senior Club Champion is a Net Competition and played from the White Tees; No restrictions on handicap for Seniors ( 62 plus); Seniors over 70 with more than 8 index can play from Pink Tees. Ladies play from Pink Tees and still compete for the Senior Club Championship if senior. Flights will be created to promote friendly competition.

Tuesday, October 1st - Nine, Wine and Dine 2024

Please note that this event is organized by Elgin Parks and Recreation:
Break out your pink attire and join us at our golf scramble event hosted by the Elgin Parks and Recreation Department. We are kicking off Breast Cancer Awareness Month with our signature outing with tons of fun on and off the course!
 
This October 2024 scramble will have you having fun and raising funds for a good cause. This event includes contest Holes, raffles, and an incredible cocktail party, which will make for an excellent event for all!

Check In starts at 2pm / Shotgun start at 3pm

Saturday, October 5th - Fall Member Guest 4 Player Scramble - MEMBERS ONLY WITH GUESTS

The format of this event is a 4 person scramble. Gross and Net Winners will be awarded.

Gray Tee Boxes will be used. Seniors over 62 with over a 8.0 handicap index can play it forward from the Blue.  Seniors over 70 can play Baby Blue. Ladies will play from the white tee boxes.

A minimum of 2 guests required for each group.
Tee Times Begin at 8am

Saturday, November 2nd - 2 Person 6.6.6 Devil's Deal - OPEN TO THE PUBLIC

Play 6 holes of Best Ball, 6 holes of Alternate Shot and the final 6 holes of Scramble Format.

Blue Tee Boxes will be used. Seniors over 62 with over an 8.0 handicap index can play it forward from the Baby Blue Tees. Seniors over 70 can play White Tees. Ladies will play from the red tee boxes.

Tee Times Begin at 10am due to frost possibilities
